Mary Turner

Mary joined the team at Heather R. Hayes and Associates with many years worth of experience in clinical practice, administration and advocacy in the mental health and substance abuse fields. She is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida and is pursuing her license in Arizona. Mary obtained her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL. During that time she worked as a primary therapist and counselor assistant at Caron:The Hanley Center and then Origins Behavioral Health, both nationally recognized leaders in addiction treatment. She received her Bachelors of Art with a concentration in Social Work from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. While Mary’s focus has been in the field of Substance Use Disorder, she has worked in various capacities at community and private agencies in Salt Lake City, UT (Drug Free Community) Bethlehem, PA (Director of a transitional house for women) and most recently in West Palm Beach, FL. Mary resides in Jupiter, Fl.

Mary was raised in a military family and has traveled extensively throughout her life here in the U.S. and Europe. Mary’s passion centers on building strong, compassionate and empathic alliances with clients who struggle with life challenges, ranging but not limited to; addiction, codependency, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss issues, women’s issues, adjustment disorders and crisis management.
