Nancy Pugmire joins the Heather R Hayes & Associates team after having served as the Clinical Director for Foundations Recovery Network’s outpatient treatment programs in Atlanta. Nancy specializes in working with individuals that struggle with substance use disorders, along with co-occurring mental health conditions. While at Foundations Recovery Network, Nancy led a weekly Family Support Group for many years, educating families on the disease of addiction, and how to re-establish trust and repair relationships. Nancy obtained her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University and began her career working at Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders, as a Primary Therapist. Nancy’s passion is working with families that are affected by the disease of addiction, helping them gain insight and awareness into how to effectively establish boundaries in a loving and supportive manner.

Nancy’s utilizes a strength based, multi-faceted approach in her psychotherapy practices to include cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, person-centered therapy, along with experiential modalities.
